Orthopedic Surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with situations involving the musculoskeletal device. Orthopedic surgeons use each surgical and nonsurgical way to deal with musculoskeletal trauma, backbone sicknesses, sports accidents, degenerative sicknesses, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.

The word Orthopedics comes from two Greek words, ortho, that means straight and pais, that means infant. Originally, orthopedic surgeons dealt with bone deformities in youngsters, the use of braces to straighten the kid's bones. With the development of anesthesia and an information of the significance of aseptic strategies in surgical procedure, orthopedic surgeons extended their function to consist of surgical procedure involving the bones and associated nerves and connective tissue.
